Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the training take place?

This is a mobile service operating across the Midlands, meaning we can deliver the training at a location near you, such as your local park. Just let us know your preferred location on booking.

What days and times do you operate?

We are available 7 days a week, subject to availability. Please let us know your preferred days and times upon booking.

How much does the training cost?

Please see our pricing page for more information on costs.

How do I book my child onto a course?

Please see our booking page for more information on how to book.

How old does my child need to be to participate?

We work with children of all ages and abilities. There is no set minimum or maximum age.

Do you cater for children with additional needs?

Yes, we have a vast amount of experience of working with children with additional needs. Please speak to us if you feel you need to make us aware of anything you feel we should know. We aim to provide the best possible experience for your child.

Do I have to bring a bike and helmet for my child?

We don't supply bikes or helmets, parents are expected to bring these to the sessions. They need to be in good working condition.

How many sessions will my child need?

Most students are riding in the first session. However, we would recommend 7 sessions (our GOLD package) to seriously enhance the riding ability of your child, including balance, turning, co-ordination, increased awareness, braking, and a number of other skills and principles. It is important to note that every child is different and some may need more training than others.

Does my child need stabilisers on their bike for the training session?

We would recommend that stabilisers are removed prior to the session. At P-LAY Rideability we have the skill set to train your child to ride without them.
