P-LAY Rideability Cycle Training

Group Training

Our group sessions currently run at various different locations across the UK. They cater for a variety of different abilities including, learn to ride, intermediate and level 1. All of our instructors have years of experience as instructors, and we are 100% 5* rated on Google.

Learn to ride

The learn to ride will be suitable for non-riders, and riders that can cover under 5 meters of cycling. We will be working to get participants completing a series of small rides, with the view of preparing them to ride independently. We would ask for parents to supervise this session, and potentially get involved with your child, to help them with their progress and to encourage them through the process. It involves alot of persistence and focus, and we generally have most students completing at least some riding in the first session.

Intermediate

The intermediate session will cater for students in-between the learn to ride level and level 1.

Level 1

The level 1 session will be suitable for riders that can cover approx 5+ meters of riding, and have at least an adequate level of control on their bikes. They will be working on skills such as turning, hazard perception, braking, signalling, and u-turns.

If a student is riding comfortably in the learn to ride class they can move up to the Intermediate class, and if a student is finding the level 1 class difficult then they can move to the intermediate or learn to ride class. This can be dynamically assessed on the day, and we will be continuously communicating with students and parents throughout the session to address this.

Students must arrive with a bike, and although a helmet is not essential, we would highly recommend that students wear one. It will be mandatory to wear one for the level 1. We would advise that students can at least touch the floor comfortably with their tiptoes. Can we ask that bikes arrive in working order. We will be checking bikes on arrival, and can adjust them if needed for you.

All students will be presented with a certificate, and have a photo taken for social media. You have the option to not include your child in this photo, and/or not be tagged.
